Service Description

*Non-invasive cosmetic procedure* Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a device to gently exfoliate the outer layer of the skin. It is commonly performed to improve the texture and appearance of the skin, addressing issues such as fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, age spots, acne scars, and uneven skin tone. Microdermabrasion process: Preparation: Before the procedure, the skin is typically cleansed to remove any makeup, oils, or other substances. Some practitioners may also apply a numbing cream to minimize discomfort. Procedure: During the microdermabrasion procedure, a handheld device is used to spray tiny crystals onto the skin or to utilize a diamond-tipped wand to gently abrade the surface. The device simultaneously suctions away the exfoliated skin cells and used crystals. Duration: A session usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the area being treated and the specific device used. Sensation: Patients may feel a mild scratching or vibrating sensation during the procedure, but it is generally well-tolerated, and there is minimal discomfort. Recovery: There is little to no downtime associated with microdermabrasion. Patients can typically resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure. Results: Microdermabrasion results in smoother, brighter skin. However, multiple sessions are often recommended for optimal results. The exact number of sessions needed depends on the specific skin concerns and the individual's skin type. It's important to note that while microdermabrasion can provide benefits, it may not be suitable for everyone, and results can vary. Individuals with certain skin conditions, such as active acne, sunburn, or sensitive skin, may need to avoid or approach microdermabrasion with caution.
